Welcome C.J. How

5/1/04

Do I have some BIG NEWS!!

My foster parents decided that I needed to live with them forever and ever.  Cool, huh?  I have three sisters - Jaime, Kirbie and Kasey.  We have a lot of fun, sometimes more than we should.  Mom says she needs to keep an eye on me, but I am the apple of my Daddy's eye.

AND ... I have a new name!  C.J. How! (formerly Annie) How's that?  I am so happy and I feel loved and secured.  How can anything be better than the comforts of a permanent home surrounded by love.  Thank you Mom & Dad for accepting me into your life.  I promise to be good with Kirbie.  Love, C.J.

I am a beautiful Scottie girl who is very lucky!

On 3/6/04, my Petfinder listing was sent to my Aunt Jan.  Aunt Jan rallied the Omaha troops, Aunt AJ and Aunt Pat and a plan was put into place to haul me outta the clink.  I was a stray, and I was turned into the Council Bluffs, Iowa shelter.  I am lucky in that my Aunt AJ knows this wonderful lady named Rose and we got me outta there.  Aunt Pat and Uncle Tom got me on 3/8/04 and here's what I looked like:

Well, I got a poofy tail like a puh-dul, so Aunt Pat got to working on me and it took her two days, but here's the finished product!

Now I know how all those women feel on the Oprah show when they've had a makeover.  They're downright giddy and everyone says how good they look.  I feel like a million milk bones!

My journey into foster care is not over.  Many, many people want me from all over the US.  But, it's up to my Aunties to make sure that I'm thoroughly evaluated (and the vet, too) before I even think of going to that place that means always .. yep, my "forever home".

Thank you to my Aunt Pat and Uncle Tom for loving me in their home until I leave for my own, and thank you to Aunt AJ for arranging to spring me.

Love, C.J. How
