Here I am with my new Mom!!!
It was windy ... I don't have my ears plastered to my head on purpose, really.

Hello! My name is Gracie. I am a Scottie girl who made a few attempts at having litters, but my body just wasn't cut out for it. So ... I hit the jackpot. I got out of the production line and got all set so that I could be adopted!
I've been in rescue for awhile. My foster mom and dad took really good care of me, and I had THREE other Scottie girls to play with. Here we are with CJ How (she's a rescue, too), Kirbie and Casey. We had a lot of fun with Aunt Pat and Uncle Tom and I will miss them lots.

Here I am with my gal pals on the way to meet my new mom. The ride sure was cozy!

I had some medical issues that I needed to overcome. My spay was tough on my body, but Aunt Pat took real good care of me and made sure I was comfy. Then I developed a bladder infection and it seemed like it was one thing after another.
Sometimes when a girl like me is in rescue, I know the perfect home will show up when it is supposed to. We had several hits and misses with my placement, and Aunt Pat was very careful about where I would go.
When we learned our friend Spoiled Stormy went to the Rainbow Bridge, I kept hearing the name Rosanne pop up. Well ... on May 1, 2005, I got to join my new mom. She drove to Iowa to meet me and Aunt Pat and Uncle Tom. The switch was made and I will be loved unconditionally the rest of my days. I am a darn lucky little girl as so many people are hoping I got a good home, and so many people are hoping Rosanne gets a good Scottie girl. What a match!

I love playing with toys, and my new mom has already seen to it that I have some waiting for me at my new home.
I've already got a new nametag too!
This adoption stuff can be kind of stressful, but I am a lucky girl. Everyone keeps telling me that I will be having lots of adventures in these bash stories that my new mom participates in. I will also have you know that it was a condition of my adoption that I got a charge card in my name. I also have a cell phone so I can call home. I think I am all set.
Look for more pictures to come of me and my new mom.
Love,
Gracie, a lucky little Scottie girl
