I'm Gus!

Hello world!

Updated 1/4/04 - I have a "Santa" picture of me in my hat!  I am really enjoying this forever home stuff.  Guess they're serious about keeping me, eh?

Updated 12/24/03 - I have a Christmas picture

Hi,

To all my friends and family, this is me Gus in front of my new home.  I like it here, we have treats, toys, a Great Poppie (that takes me for walks to the farm), a Mom who talks alot, and a big, little Sister Abbi (who won't let me play with HER ball), but life is good.

Have a Merry Christmas, and we promise to get our Christmas cards sent out by Easter.

Gus and family

Updated on 12/21/03 with some very happy news!  I have been adopted.  Here I am with my new family and my Westie sister.

You can't see me real well here, but I'm sitting with my new dad.

We had quite an adventure on Sunday, December 21.  Aunt Jan packed my bag with my favorite toys and some food and instructions and we set off for a long ride.  We got to my new house and I saw this little white dog barking at me.  She was talking to me, really, she was!  We met and there were lots of tail wags and sniffing because that's what we do when we meet other dogs.  We don't shake hands like you hoomans.  Anywho, I think my new sister Abbi likes me, but she is possessive of her ball.  That's okay because I have my toys too and our new mom makes sure she throws one in each direction for us so we don't have a mid-snout collision or anything like that.

This new home business is pretty cool.  Mom and dad have already given me a Christmas present.  How neat is that?

I have really had an action packed week.  I said goodbye to my first mom, and then went to live with Aunt Jan for awhile.  I sure liked Iris, the other foster dog.  But it was time for me to go to my forever home, and Aunt Jan said not to worry because they would love me and play ball with me.  Well, she was right on the nose!  I am very happy here.  I hope all the other foster Scotties end up in good homes like me.

And here's a picture of my other Aunt and Uncle - Alexis and Jim.  They picked me up and drove me from my first home into foster care.

I feel very special - a lot of people love me!

and I have to share a picture of Iris, my little honey bunny.  She is adopted too!  I hope we can see her at the Scottie picnic!

Before my haircut and                            after my haircut!

I am a wonderful 3 ish Scottie boy in need of my forever home, but from what I hear, it's all in the fate of a special lady named Abbi.

Abbi, your mom and dad have been talking to you, and I'm here to tell you that they're right.  I'll keep you company, and I'll let you boss me around.

I'm due for a beauty makeover, and I'll be getting that on Thursday.  Love me for who I am, not how hairy I am.  You can call this my hippie phase, okay?  I promise to get cleaned up and get a haircut!

I am pretty sad that I had to leave my mom, and I'm kind of adjusting.  I need someone who will play ball with me and let me know that I'm loved.  Everyone feels sorry for me, but I'm doing okay.  I just hope my mom is okay, but I know she will be.  She gave me up so that someone could give me the care and love I need.  Sometimes love just isn't enough, is it?

I am having a good time in foster care.  Aunt Jan has been talking to me a lot and I like being wherever she is in the house.  I also like the other dogs here, but Rosie keeps me away from her ball, and I WANT IT REALLY BAD!  Frasier and I have frapped a lot, and Iris, the other foster doggie loves me and I love her.

I am looking forward to meeting you and hope that Abbi thinks I'm a hunky dunky dog who would do well with you.

Love, Gus
