Introducing Max

Updated 1/30/05 and 2/9/05

I successfully flew the friendly skies and met my new family.  They eagerly met me at the cargo area of the airlines in Cleveland, and from the first report, I'm a keeper!  And, my name is now Maxwell.  I am a regal boy and this new name is more fitting.

It was kind of sad saying goodbye to my buddies Rosie Fiona, Frasier, Maddie and the other rescue, Pal.  We had a lot of fun and played hard.  Everyone was so worried about me flying, but I did really well.  I'm glad the pilot didn't give me one of those little pins for my chest.  That would have hurt, but I would have looked smashing.

Here I am at the airport with my foster mom, Aunt Jan.  She sure hugged me tight before I left.

And here's another picture of me, right before they put me on the plane.  I got to ride on a cart - wheeeeee!

Foster care was fun, but it was just a warm up for the real thing.  I think I'm going to like my new family a whole lot.  We're going to start a new routine all together and I am excited to be a worker bee at the company on Monday.  I have found the best thing - my forever home.

Love, Maxwell

Hello world,

Here I am.  My name is Max and I am a beautiful Scottie boy who will soon be joining my new family in Ohio.  Can I have some buckeye candies when I get there?

My story is all too familiar.  I grew up in the 'burbs and had a good home, but my family didn't think I was very happy with them.  They decided to let me have a chance at a new home, so I joined Aunt Jan recently.  My goodness ... there sure are a lot of dogs here!

Can you believe how handsome I am?  I need a haircut, but all of that will happen in due time.

Aunt Jan says that I am going to a home where I get to go to work with my mom and dad!  You know what? They even have this huge bath toy called a yacht, and I'm going to be cruising Lake Erie!  How cool is that?

I'm sure there will be more posted as I make my journey to Ohio.  Everyone tells me that I'm going to be a lucky boy and much loved.  I hope I fill their hearts - they miss Henry a lot.  He was a rescue, too and had a really rough life before my new mom and dad got him.  They loved him a bunch and made him a happy Scottie boy.

Stay tuned!  Love,

Max
