There's only one Truman!

I have some news .... bet you can't guess what it is? Yes, I had my operation, but I also got a NEW FAMILY!

I was adopted on 1/26/05, and I came in like I owned the place.

Here I am with my new mom and my brother, and my dog-brother, Jack the Wirehaired Fox Terrier. Pretty spiffy, eh?

And here I am with my new boy, Dennis. I think we're going to have a lot of fun together.

When I went to my new house, I started playing with all of Jack's toys. He has some really cool ones! I brought some of mine with me, so maybe one of these days we'll share.

Here's a picture of Jack. Bet he was wondering when this little black dog was going to start playing with him?

We're settling in as well as we can. Everyone thinks I'm very sweet. We begin obedience classes soon, and I think I will be a star! Thank you for everyone's good wishes on my rescue journey. I found a home I can call my own forever.

Hello fans,

My name is Truman and here's my story.

I was found in the town of Truman, MN. I was picked up by a church and made my way to the Martin County Humane Society in Fairmont, MN. I am such a cute little bugger that I got adopted out pretty quick, but my new family returned me because I had ... because I had .... worms. There, I said it. Now let's move on.

So ... I'm in this shelter and I get all nervous when I'm contained and cannot be by my people. Luckily, I got into rescue and now I'm at Aunt Jan's house and it sure is an adventure. Aunt Jan has other dogs in rescue plus her own, so it is a zoo, and I don't help matters any!

I hopefully will be joining my new family shortly. I'm going to have my own boy and my own mom! They said they want a dog that's a bit of a challenge and boy will they be surprised when they see me jump! I can maneuver myself out of every containment system Aunt Jan comes up with, but luckily, I have not ruined the furniture!

I am about a year old! My teeth are bright and shiny and I need to gain some weight. I'm getting 'tutored soon and am getting a Scottie haircut!

I will be drop-dead gorgeous, and I hope the ladies like me after my operation!
